Anthropology Student Affairs Officer Ann Walters was awarded the True Bruin Chancellor's Excellence in Service Award by UCLA Staff Assembly last week.  Many Anthropology faculty, staff and students turned out to support Ann and provided the biggest and loudest cheering section of the event!  The True Bruin Award is given to a UCLA staff member who "demonstrates commitment to the True Bruin values by exemplifying them in specific actions of benefit to UCLA:"

• Integrity – Conducting themselves with integrity in their dealings with and on behalf of the University
• Excellence – Conscientiously striving for excellence in their work
• Accountability – Being accountable as an individual and member of the UCLA community for their ethical conduct
• Respect – Respecting the rights and dignity of others
