The Society for American Archaeology Press has announced the launch of a major new book series "Contemporary Perspectives in Archaeology" with the publication in April 2010 of its inaugural volume by Jeanne Arnold (with Michael Walsh) titled California's Ancient Past: From the Pacific to the Range of Light.  It is the first in the series on the major regions of the New World.
